BPC as Public Higher Education Institution

Bulacan Polytechnic College (BPC), formerly known as Bulacan Public Community College (BPCC), is a public higher education institution committed to providing accessible, quality, and industry-relevant education. Since its establishment in 1971, BPC has grown into a multi-campus college offering a wide range of degree and diploma programs that equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed for academic success, professional excellence, and community development.

A journey through the significant milestones and achievements that define the history and growth of Bulacan Polytechnic College.
1971–1972

Foundation

Bulacan Polytechnic College was established as a vocational-secretarial school under the Department of Education. It initially offered a two-year Junior Secretarial course and General Education program.
1994

Curriculum Expansion

Basic Computer Literacy was introduced to meet the increasing demand for computer-related skills and address changing workforce needs.
1995

Campus Reconstruction

Following a devastating fire that destroyed the original building, the campus was rebuilt to continue serving its students.
Present

Continued Growth

Under the leadership of College President Mel-Oliver S. Balagtas, BPC has grown into a multi-campus institution with eight campuses across Bulacan, offering diverse degree and diploma programs.
2003

Program Development

BPC expanded its academic offerings by introducing ladderized programs in Industrial Technology and Hotel and Restaurant Services through a consortium with Bulacan State University.
1997

College Recognition

The institution was officially renamed Bulacan Polytechnic College (BPC) through Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 97-550 and relocated its main campus to Bulihan, Malolos.
